While the 2.4i trim of the 2008 2009 Volvo V50 is equipped with
a 2.4-liter, I5 engine generating 168-hp, the T5 and the T5 AWD
trims are powered by a 2.5-liter, I5 engine generating 218-hp.
The engine on the 2.4i trim is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
On the T5 and the T5 AWD trims, a 6-speed manual transmission
is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission is available
as an option.
