Replacing the Sonoma and capable of accommodating 3 persons, the
Canyon is studded with the features and specs that make it establish
a benchmark in its class. The vehicle can be powered by a 2.8L
175-hp I4 or a 3.5L 220-hp I5 engine.
Though
the 2008 GMC Canyon is designed for customers who are not
looking for a full-size truck, the vehicle is bigger than past
models and offers back seats that are actually suitable for human
beings. Longer and taller than the Sonoma pickup it replaces,
the aggressive styling gives the Canyon a more truck-like look.
While the regular cab version of the 2008 GMC Canyon can
seat three passengers, Extended cabs come with dual rear-hinged
back doors and can accommodate five passengers.
Complementing
the ride and comfort, the 2008 GMC Canyon comes with an array
of standard features that include air conditioning, RDS audio
system with AM/FM and CD player, front power windows, cruise control,
remote power locks, ventilation system, power steering, rear power
windows, leather wrapped steering wheel etc. For safety, the Canyon
offers four-wheel abs, two disc brakes including two ventilated
discs, beam rear suspension rigid with leaf springs, rear differential
lock, immobilizer, wishbone front suspension etc.
